Lancaster, PA | Completed August 2002 | Addition: 19,900 square feet | Renovated: 19,920 square feet
Originally a city elementary school, Cornerstone provided a design that upheld the history of the building by preserving the entry facade within a new lobby enclosure. Cornerstone Design-Architects embraced the exciting opportunity to preserve the historical aspects of the existing building and created a photo-realistic rendering so that the college and hospital teams could see exactly how the building would appear after construction and renovation. More importantly, the renderings proved helpful in presenting it to Lancaster City’s Conservation District Review Board. The classroom addition includes four general classrooms, two assessment labs, a surgical classroom and a chemistry lab.
